At tho regulai meeting of the board of trustees of the Stato Industrial school today a large amonnt of routine business was trans acted. Thirty of tho inmates were allowed al-lowed to return to their homes to spend tho Fourth with the understanding that thoy come back to the school after the short vacation. Several were granted paroles on tho merit system. At tho conclusion of tho session. Chairman Harry Joseph and Trustee John Walsh met with the inmates and admonished them that certain infractions infrac-tions of tho rules, especially noticeable since the charges were brought against Superintendent; Thomas and which has had a londency to demoralize tho affairs of the school, would be punished in a drastic manner if they were repealed. Through some- misunderstanding as to time of the mooting, tho citizens ' committee, com-mittee, which recently mado an investigation investi-gation of tho school, failed to meet with the board. A number of suggestions and recommendations have been compiled com-piled with the citizens' committee, how-over, how-over, and will be presented to the board at its next mooting. |
