Show BATTLESHIP BUILDERS ASSEMBLED IN LONDON LONDON, Friday, April 0. Representatives Repre-sentatives of tho groat shipbuilding companies of tho world are gathered in London to support their tenders for the construction of two modern battleships and some smaller vessels, which the Argentine Ar-gentine government is about to build. Those tenders, including four from America, arc being considered by a commission of naval experts sent here by Argentina. The Americans who are here to appear ap-pear before the commission are Rear Admiral Bowles, president of the Fore River Shipbuilding company; Henry S. Grove, president of the Crump company; com-pany; Du Courey, Now York Shipbuilding" Shipbuild-ing" company, and Mr. Gaunlet of the Newport News Shipbuilding company. Archibald Johnston, vice president of the Bethlehem Steel company, also is here. The new battleships will be approximately approxi-mately 19.000 tons, have a speed of twenty-one knots, will be protected by-twelve, by-twelve, ten, eight and six-inch armor, and will be propelled by turbine jen-gines. jen-gines. whilo there will bo li3'draulic turret tur-ret movement.
