Bridwcll, brother oP tho building superintendent ol! tho board ol! education, George M. lindwcll, presumably presum-ably has paid tho Kecloy institute tho $100 he owed it for "professional services," serv-ices," for tho Kcclc3' instilulo Saturday rolcascd tho board from tho execution of garnishment of Bridwell'3 wages, served upon it early in tlio week. Tho case is ono of old standing. The institute, along about tho middlo of. IDOj, brought suit against Bridwcll in tho civil division of tlio city court to recover $100, with interest and costs, alleged to bo duo for "professional services" rendered Bridwcll about April 1, 1905. On October 29, 1007, tho institute in-stitute secured judgment by default for $120.(50, with interest from dato at the rato of S per cent annually. On larch 20 of this year an exocution was issued on this .-judgment and tlio board of education, edu-cation, which had been employing Bridwcll Brid-wcll at janitor work much of tho tiino at tlio generous wago of $4.50 a day, was garnishoed for BridwclPs salary. Bridwcll had $51 75 coming to him then, and it is presumed that ho scraped tho rest of tho $120.00 together and wiped tlio debt off tho slate, judging from the following release, issued in tho citv court and signed by Sheriff Joseph 'Sharp, received by tho board: "You will plcaso take notice that tho garnishment served upon you is released re-leased and vou arc hereby absolved from all further liability by reason of samo." |
