YOUNG THUG GIVEN WHAT HE DESERVED A man SO years of age, known as "Old Tom." was spi upon by a young thug In a saloon at GO Commercial street and qulto badly beaten. Tho old Vann is paralyzed in both arms and hands and was therefore "absolutely unable to protect pro-tect himself against the onslaughts of tho thug. A number of young men who had not forgotten their manhood got In on tho game and gavo the '"bully" a taste of what he had already given tho poor old man. With his arms and hands protecting his head he did a "hot-foot" up Commercial Commer-cial street in order to escape tho blows which were being handed him from every side.
