Show LAWSON'S INJURIES NEARLY PROVE FATAL Ivor Lawson, who fell on the Salt Pal- ace track on the night of the Fourth of July In a match race with W. E. Samuel-son, Samuel-son, was so low last week that his doctor had little hope of him pulling through. Lawson was taken home after he was Injured nnd it was found three days later that his collar bono was broken, from-which from-which he was suffering terrible pain. It now develops that he struck on his head on th track and Is further suffering with a slight concussion of the brain. His critical condition Is a surprise to his friends, all of whom were looking for him to be out any day to start In traln- 1 Ing aguln. The doctor says ho will not be 1 able to rldo again this year. |
