OCR Text	Show RETURNS TO PRISON FOR CONSCIENCE SAKE MICHIGAN" CITY. Ind.. July li. Thomas Thom-as McCarthy, aged 10 years, for whose capture the warden of Indiana State prison horo has had a reward standing for three years, returned to prison this evening voluntarily and pave hlnisolf up with the prospect of serving twelve more years unless the Governor or parole body ahould release him sooner. In 1905 McCarthy Mc-Carthy escaped after having been paroled. pa-roled. He went to the Pacific coast and after loading a precarious exlstonce he joined the Salvation Army at Yakima. Waflh. His conscience troubled him and after he had earned enough money he started back to prison, paying all his own expenses.
