Hotel proprietors from all parts of tho United States and Canada, comprising the members of the Hotel Men's Mutual Benefit association, held the first session ses-sion of their twenty-ninth annual convention con-vention hero today. Tierne3', one of the proprietors of the Hotel Marlborough, New York, read a paper, in which he said: "Wc must ever bo alert to the machinations and hypoeris- of our hired and malicious enemies who are trying to throw the dust of prohibition in the eyes of the best citizens everywhere, every-where, in order that their policy of negation ne-gation may . prevail.
