Gleason of Salt Lake, who was taken suddenly ill from an overdose of morphine Monday night, has been aaved. Gleason's wife, formerly an -n Ogdcn young lady, stayed by his side all night ministering in every way to the assistance of the physicians. Dr. Gleason explained the cause of his condition to his physicians Tuesday. He declared that Monday afternoon he went to tho room of a friend, who onVred him some blackberry brandy, of which he took three drinks. Later he learned that the beverage contained a solution of mor-. mor-. phlne, the friend being addicted to the ' use of the drug. |
