The groom was only 20 years of age, and being an orphan without a guardian, guard-ian, was consequently unable to obtain a license. The young lady, though nearly two years younger, was still over IS. and of lawful age to get married. Neither one wanted to wait for the 3 oung man to grow older, so the difficulty diffi-culty was settled as follows: Miss Thyme formally and legally adopted her affianced, and then, as his guardian, gave the necessary consent to there being a marriage license Issued to him. The document was duly given out, and a Justice of the Peace married mar-ried the couple.
