Show ' IH V. - H '1A h J EAGLES TOGETHER Four scouts of Troop 519 of the Centerville Third Ward, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, received their Eagle Scout awards together at an awards program Oct. 11. They are Kirk Tidwell and Kelly Barnett (wearing sport coats) and Todd Walker and Brad ' Ford. was the senior patrol leader of Troop 519 and now serves as Teacher Quorum president in the Centerville Third Ward. He is a student at Viewmont High School. Scoutmaster for the troop is Wendall Garlick. Four members of Troop 519 of the Centerville 3rd Ward were presented with Eagle Scout awards during a Court of Honor held Oct. II. 1981. Receiving Re-ceiving the awards were: TODD WALKER, is 13- years old. He enjoyed his athletic and sports merit badges and learned most from the first-aid and citizenship merit badges. Todd's Eagle project was on poisons their causes, cures and prevention. He distributed over 300 copies to the Centerville Center-ville community. Todd earned the money for the project by making and selling suckers door to door and at school. BRADLEY RICHARD Ford , son of Richard and Sharon Shar-on Ford, is 13-years old and attends the eighth grade at Centerville Jr. High. Brad earned 28 merit badges, his Faith in God award. World Conservation award. On My Honor award and the Bronze Palm. He is secretary of his Deacon Quorum. His special interests are sports of all kind and building build-ing radio controlled cars. FOR HIS project, Brad replanted re-planted trees and shrubs to stop erosion on the hill above Centerville East Park. He notified noti-fied residents of the problem and posted signs. Kelly Barnett, son of Keith and Zelda Barnett of Centerville, Center-ville, has held the positions of troop leader, patrol leader, presidents of his Deacon Quorum and assistant in the teacher and priest presidency. HIS FAVORITE merit badges were first-aid and model mod-el design. For his Eagle project he formed, poured and finished a cement patio at the Bountiful Convalescent Center. He is looking forward to attending the U. of U. during winter quarter and going on an LDS mission next summer. KIRK J. TIDWELL, son of Frank and Beverly Tidwell. |
