Show Davis Okays Plan For Centerville Irrigation Plan year. MICKELSEN FARMINGTON Davis County Commissioners said Thursday they will support a plan by Centerville officials to expand the city's irrigation system further to the north. CENTERVILLE'S existing irrigation and culinary water system is not designed to carry the capacity needed to the northern areas. City Administrator Adminis-trator Kenner Killpack told commissioners. He said some of the land to be included in the proposed irrigation system currently has no available water. ONE OF THE problems faced by the city is in securing bonds for the development of the project. According to Mr. Killpack, Centerville contacted con-tacted Weber Basin Water officials offi-cials to discuss water shares and bonds, but learned that Weber Basin at present-has present-has no method of obtaining money for water project loans. Killpack presented the county commission with an application, ap-plication, for bonding, saying the city believes the bonding process is the best way to handle the funding. HE SAID he just wanted to get the county's endorsement of the plan. A cautious Com. Harry B. Gerlach told Killpack. "We try not to give the cities the impression that we're overrid-ing overrid-ing their jurisdiction." Agreeing, Killpack presented the commission with a four-page four-page list of names of those residents resi-dents in support of the project. He said the city would like to set up a water district which will be controlled entirely by Centerville. On that issue as well. Killpack said the residents resi-dents have been supportive. THE COMMISSION realizing no monetary tie to the project unanimously supported sup-ported the city's proposal. In other business, the commission com-mission approved funding for a new paramedic truck for the Davis County Sheriffs Department. De-partment.
