Show Gary Blodgett Named Clipper News Editor ::m-:1 J H , l'; BOUNTIFUL Gary R. Blodgett, veteran newspaper reporter and photographer, has been named News Editor of the Davis County Clipper. MR. BLODGETT has been a staff writer for the Clipper nearly five years. Previously, he was a reporter and sports writer for the Deseret News for 19 years. Mr. Blodgett will continue to "cover his beat" of reporting report-ing news events in Bountiful and Centerville. In addition, he will provide page makeup of the newspaper, take some of the news pictures in south Davis County, coordinate with the backshop, news stories and pictures to be printed each week, and to make daily decisions deci-sions concerning the gathering and printing of news articles and pictures. DEAN S. Stahle, who is a candidate for Bountiful mayor in the Nov. 3 election, will continue con-tinue to serve as editor of the Stahle-owned newspapers. John Stahle Jr. and Lucile Stahle are owners and publishers pub-lishers of the Clipper. Mr. Blodgett joined the Clipper staff nearly five years ago and has primarily covered the Bountiful-Centerville area with some coverage of county events in Farmington. GARY BLODGETT HE IS A graduate of Weber High School and attended Weber We-ber State College and Utah State University. He was on the news staff of both college newspapers and was sports editor as a freshman at USU. Mr. Blodgett has resided in Bountiful 2 1 years and is a past recipient of the Bountiful Jaycees' "Outstanding Young Man,' award. |
