AFFAiRS OF THE CITY LARGE AMOUNT DUE ON DELTX QtiEXT SPECIAL TAXES The KenltH Commissioner All of the Hip Hells Are Now at the Joint Building Water Development There is still due the city on special taxes the approximate sum of 60000 of which 12000 is delinquent The payment of the remainder extends over a period of nine years although the greater portion wilt be due bofbre six years With the coming qf the new month will be inaugurated an unceas wi ing warfare upon the delinquents and I a large number of sales of prdperty upon which taxes have not been paid will take place Included among the delinquents area are-a large number of the propertyowners on Second South west of Sixth West l The assessment was made for the purpose pur-pose of raising sufficient money with which to defray the cost t the sidewalks j side-walks now being constructed on both sides of the street as far west as the river There is now 3000 due and delinquent de-linquent on this improvement The sale of the property is scheduled for the 25th
