| Show AMUSEMENTS In Old Kentucky Greeted By Another An-other Large Audience There was just as big a house at the theatre last night as there was the night before The drawing powers of fIn f-In Old Kentucky were abundantly demonstrated and no doubt they will again be felt tonight with a generous attendance This piece with its stirring stir-ring incidents its genuine plcanninies and splendid scenery and appointments finds a hearty welcome from everybody every-body Whether it Is a new combination of old elements or not it has a definU and interesting plot that Is closely followed fol-lowed by the audience and Its denou meat anticipated with great Interest I Much of this interest is due to the skill of the performers To the Kentucky colonel of Burt G Clark who sp i tamed the part in the presentation which lasted so long at the Academy of Musts in New York have been added add-ed a really good company and some of them of exceptional merit We still appreciate the excellence of Mr Walter Edwards in the role of Joe Leror and an opportunity arose last night of testing test-ing his cleverness in nn emergency The rope which was to have upheld the bridge over a dizzy chasm broke and let the bridge fall into place as it should not have done The night before be-fore and always previously it hung in midair and It was the duty of Joe to cut it a la Lafayette and destroy the bridge This time the whole scheme j was disarranged but Mr Edwards v saved the situation by dashing up the rocks and thrusting the bridge headlong head-long out of sight Few knew that it I was an impromptu adventure and the act terminated all right For the last time In Old Kentucky is the attrac1 tion tonight the curtain going up promptly atStlo |
