The end of a successful gotf season was celebrated last Tuesday at the banquet room of "Steak & Mr. Bake" with over 60 members attending. President Geri Evans and tournament chairwoman Gol-da Gol-da Cawley presented year-end awards to tournament winners of the 1978 golf season. WINNING THE top award of the year was club champion cham-pion Alice Nichols. She was presented a personalized plaque. Silver dishes engraved with the winners name and flight were presented to the following flight champions. A Flight-Low Gross, Norma Nor-ma Bennett; A Flight-Second Low Gross, Dixie Mitchell; A Flight-Low Net, Alta Nye; A FlightSecond Low Net, Sherry Clayville. B FLIGHT-Low Gross, Betty Anderson; B Flight-Second Flight-Second Low Gross, Ann Eg-gett; Eg-gett; B Flight-Low Net, i Maurine Bateman; B Flight-Second Flight-Second Low Net, Pat Putnam. C Flight-Low Gross, Sheila Rose; C Flight-Second Low Gross, Mary Ricks; C Flight-Low Net, Annette Meacham; C Flight-Second Low Net, Ann Melby. SPECIAL AWARDS were also presented to Ladies Ass'n President, Geri Evans for her excellent work and well-liked pro Mel Duke and his assistant assis-tant Bill Harrison for their outstanding management of the course as well as their help to the association. Election for the 1979 officers of-ficers was held. Those chosen to lead the association next year will be Donna Olsen, president; Dixie Mitchell, vice president; Val Eggett, secretary-treasurer. TUESDAY mornings will continue to be Ladies Day at Bountiful Springs and members are invited to continue con-tinue playing as long as weather permits. |
