Show Woods Oo-oss Karla Cleverly was hostess on Tuesday evening for a bridal shower lo honor Miss Becky Cahoon, prior to her marriage on April Ifiih to Merrill Nielson. Attending the get-to-gether were friends and co-workers of the guest of honor. On Tuesday morning, Mrs. Marilyn Bell, wife of Andrew Bell, boarded a jet airliner at Salt Lake Airport to return to Manchester, England for a visit with her parents, and also attend the wedding reception of her brother. Mrs. Bell was accompanied by a friend, who also has family in the northern areas of England. The Bell children have been farmed out to friends, for their mothers vacation. Mrs. Bell's parents reside in Northenden. a suberb of Manchester in Lancashire County. Sincere get well wishes are extended to Mrs. Amelia Felix, wife of Lloyd Felix. She was admited to South Davis Hospital on Friday for treatment treat-ment of pneumonia and related relat-ed illnesses. She has also undergone un-dergone a series of tests and undergone observation during her confinement. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Payne were visited by Bishop and Mrs. Ben Wh alley of Denton. Manchester, England last Wednesday. The visitors were in the area for LDS Conference and were acquaintances of Elder Cory Payne, who is presently serving an England Leeds Mission, and was located locat-ed in their Ward for a four month period. The Whalleys are visiting in Bountiful, but plan to visit with other Elders parents in the Utah area before their return trip home. The new friendships were enjoyed, en-joyed, and the Payne's are looking forward to another get-together. Mrs. Bonnie Anderson was hostess on Thursday evening for a bridal shower to honor the forthcoming marriage of M iss Becky Cahoon. A group of neighbors and freinds were on hand for the miscellaneous shower, and also enjoyed visiting and games. Mark Falor, son of Mr. and Mrs. Elton Falor, has arrived back home after receiving his LDS mission call. Mark graduated from Viewmont in 74, attended Ricks last year, and has been working in Boise, Ida. the past seven months. He arrived to make preparations for his Winnipeg, Canada assignment, as-signment, and will leave May 8. Mark is the borther of Mrs. Judy Bowen. His parents moved to the community about four weeks ago, from Jackson, Wyo. Mark spent his high school days in our area, making his home with the Bowens and the Val Edwards A baby daughter was born at South Davis Hospital this past week to Chuck and Carol Zacher. This makes six children for their family. The Zachers reside on Sorrento Drive. Bob and Joan Bullock enjoyed en-joyed a vacation to Las Vegas. They made the trip expecially to play golf and enjoy the activities ac-tivities of thai desert town. Their children remained at home under the supervision of friends. Mr. and Mrs. Hall Blankenship were hosts for two gatherings this past week. Arriving for the week-end were Dr. and Mrs. Brett Strong of Roosevelt, and Mr. and Mrs. Charles L. Herman of Vernal. On Wednesday evening co-workers of Mr. Blankenship's from Utah Power were guests for a fondue fon-due dinner. Tony Holmstead's birthday did not go unnoticed. His wife was hostess on Sunday afternoon after-noon for a party for freinds and family. The Holmsteads have purchased a home formerly occupied by the Martin family at 625 West, on the access ac-cess road, near the new High School. New residents in the Moss Subdivision are Dick and Diane Smith. They are former Bountiful residents, and a special welcome is extended to them from friends and neighbors neigh-bors in the area. Bishop and Mrs. Bruce Kjar and family are preparing for a family reunion in Ephnum. Utah. His parents, Lester and Eleanore Madsen have been called to serve and LDS mission mis-sion to Fresno. Calif. Farewell and Open House activities are scheduled for Easter Sunday. Dave and Bonnie Peterson are parents of their third son. born at South Davis Hospital. The Petersons reside in West wood Subdivision Be sure to remind the youth of the urea about the Drug and Alcohol workshop to be held S.iturday at I p.m. at the Stake House. The seminar, which will be divided into sections, will be conducted by phvsicians from the "U" Medical Center, Police Chief Dean Anderson of Bountiful. Miss Bonnie Smith, a former Miss Idaho and two prisoners from the Stale Prison. 1 he seminar entitled "Dead End Road" is for the purpose of informing in-forming the youth about drug and alcohol use.
