They are ffi the lirst children of Dennis Ufi, and Cindy Carter, Salt Lake JjW City. They were born on 531 Wednesday, Mar. 31 and were Jjl a little boy weighing, 7 lbs. 15 ;.lTji ozs. and a little girl weighing SMftj 5 lbs. and ozs. Dennis is a son of Arvill and Claudia er. UE Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Rid-'!tf Rid-'!tf aig, Mr. and Mrs. James hewell and Mr. and Mrs. j, Robert Nicholls hofted an Upen House in honor of their parents. Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Nicholls 50th Wedding Anniversary. An-niversary. It was held on Friday, Mar 26, at Fruit Heights, where several hundred friends and relatives visited to congratulate congra-tulate Mr. and Mrs. Nicholls and share in the festivities. Visiting with Joyce and Gordon Riding the past week were Mr. and Mrs. Robert V. Nicholls, their son, Phillip and daughter, Sandra. Robert is Joyce's brother. They live in Gaithersburg, Maryland and are spending two weeks of visiting in the area. Joyce's sister and brother-in-law, Beverly and Jim Shewell were also visiting in the Riding home. They reside in Vernal. Joyce Riding was invloved in an automobile accident the past week and had the misfortune mis-fortune to suffer a broken left hand. Get well wishes are extended extend-ed at this time to Glen Moss who is in the Bountiful hospital, having undergone surgery. Several Centerville families have had the pleasure of hosting 69 bishops and stake presidents from Mexico in their homes the past week. The gentlemen are here for conference. They arrived in Salt Lake on Thursday, April J, and were met at the airport by their hosts who drove them to the Stake Center where members of the wards greeted greet-ed them with refreshments. On Friday evening, after a session in the Ogden Temple the visitors and their hosts met in the Third and Sixth Ward chapel where they were served a dinner by the Special Interest people of the Stake. On Monday, April 5 the visitors were shown the Welfare System of the LDS Church. They were driven in cars by voluntary retired members of the stake, first to Farmington, where information informa-tion on the subject was given at a meeting. They visited the Church's Welfare Farm and Dairy, after which they attended at-tended a banquet. After the banquet a visit to the Bishops Storehouse and the Deseret Industries was made. |
