I v., ' I MOTHERS ART A painting entitled "Wheat and Tares" and a bronze sculpture name "Abbigail" will be sent to Washington D.C. to compete nationaly in the Gertrude Fogelson Art Competition. THE PAINTING, bv Nancy This sculpture by Arlyne M. Stump won first place in craft and other mediat in a recent contest by the Utah Mothers Association. It will be sent to Washington, D. C. for a national competition. Lund, Bountiful, placed 1st in a recent art and craft show sponsored by the Utah Mothers Association. The sculpture, by Arlene Stump, Bountiful, placed 1st in the Craft and Other Media division. OTHER WINNERS in fine art were Jo McGregor, Kamas, 2nd place and Norma Forsberg, Bountiful, 3rd place. Honorable mentions were awarded to Deann Rex, Orem; Joelen Saxton, Provo; Norma Ewing, Salt Lake;, Lois Lyngle, Salt Lake, and Beverly Child, Brigham City. Other winners in Crafts were Lynn Ann Richards, Salt Lake, 2nd place with story-time story-time puppets and Clover Christensen, Provo, 3rd with a "Bicentennial Theme" hooked rug. An honorable mention was awarded to Gloria Firmage, Salt Lake.
