Show Schools Okay Info Publication By ROSELYN KIRK Davis County Board of Education will print a quarterly quar-terly publication for parents of children in Davis School District, which will be a part of a public relations program to let parents know what's happening in the schools. DEPUTY Superintendent Lawrence Welling said the district has plans to print the publication at the printing facility in the district office and send it to about 25,000 homes in the district. He said that Assistant Superintendent Robert Keddington will be given the responsibility of putting out the publication. "I think it will be of value to the parents and to us," Dr. Welling said. The district is thinking in terms of sending out publications in October, December, February and April. They hope that the first publication will reach patrons this February. HE estimated that the cost for mailing, based on the bulk mail rate, will be about $525, but said "The cost will be outweighed by the communication com-munication with parents." This publication from the school district would be in addition to any newsletters that are sent out by the schools. ' In another public relations move. Board President Lucile Reading suggested that board meetings be moved out of the board room at the administrative adminis-trative offices in Farmington twice a year and be held once' in the north end and another time in the south end of the county. BOARD member Theo Italasano said, "We should make it as easy as possible for people to come and see what happens at a board meeting." The board went ahead and approved the agenda of meetings for 1978 and said that if a determination determina-tion was made to change the meeting place for any one meeting that the public could be notified of the change. Meeting dates as set were Jan. 3 and 17, Feb. 7 and 21, March 7 and 21, April 4 and 18, May 2 and 16, June 6 and 20, July 18, Aug. 1 and 15, Sept. 5 and 19, Oct. 3 and 17, Nov. 7 and 21, and Dec. 5 and 19.
