Show By ALICE MITCHELL 25-1154 This time of the year brings forth creativity of all kinds and descriptions. Wreaths of fold, of tree limbs and a lounced modern material motif are dreamed up. Gingerbread houses of graham crackers, of seven-up cases and even of real honest gingerbread are lovingly fashioned. Fruit cakes of applesauce and raisins, of nuts and the traditional fruit mixes, and without fruit, but with gum drops are baked and hidden away until they are mellowed. Christmas trees are decorated with old-fashioned lights, with ribbons, heirloom heir-loom baubles, tinsel, ceramic angels and dolls, cranberries, gingerbread, and even modernistic snowflakes. Walt Disney characters of glass, of clay and of felt are favorites on some trees and, of course, gingerbread dolls are very vogue. Creativity manifests Itself in gifts in many fascinating and interesting ways. All sorts of dolls in all sizes, with fat bodies and thin bodies, and with red, white, green, purple, gray hair, not to mention the colors of brown, black and blonde are made to add to boys and girls wonder on Christmas morning. And creativity was breaking out all over in the regional presentation of Handel's Han-del's "Messiah" presented last Saturday and Sunday nights, at the Regional Center. The orchestra played artistically and the chorus was a carefully taught and beautifully blended group. Among the singers were people from the West Bountiful Boun-tiful area or formerly of the city, Jolene and Chris Flanders, Rachel Noyes, Lucille Rogers, Jenny Parkin York and husband Bob, Kristy Miller, Joiet Miller, Pam Nelson, Sue Trimble Shatter, Gerry W. Mitchell and Virginia Hubbs. Edna Mae King and family are always thinking of things to do to better their surroundings and themselves and others. A week ago Laura was elected secretary of the Teen Council of the Davis County 4-H Clubs. This comes after eight years of activity in 4-H club work. Edna Mae is president of the adult council of the 4-H Clubs in Davis County. She, Laura, brother Warren and many of her students have participated in county and state fair competition. Michelle Dennis was the guest of honor at a surprise birthday party this week. The girls of the Young Ladies Class, under the direction of Carolyn Beagley, planned and directed the fun event. Members of the 3rd Ward are reminded that they will have no meetings on Christmas Christ-mas Day except Sacrament meeting which will be held at the regular time, 4: 15. Joyce Miller and son were entertained at a stork shower this week. Hostesses for the party were Shirlene Richardson Richard-son and Joan Simons.
