Show Bountiful By BERTHA L. MUIR 295-J742 Mr. and Mrs. Don Atkinson of Smithfield were Bountiful guests of relatives and friends on Friday and Saturday night. They were guests of Mr. and Mrs. Jay Mitten. Mrs. Ruby Layton entertained enter-tained at a family party honoring her brother, G.M. Muir who celebrated his 79th birthday Friday, Dec. 9. Mrs. Ruth Scoville has returned re-turned home after spending a number of weeks in a Salt Lake hospital because of a heart attack. Her health is improving. Mrs. Grace Orten, who has been hospitalized because of a heart attack is now recovering recover-ing at the South Davis Convalescent Con-valescent Home. Charles Caron of 26 S. 425 W., Bountiful has an unusual hobby. He creates flower gardens gar-dens with the art of needlepoint. He started this work several years ago because of a nervous condition. condi-tion. He learned the art from his wife 29 years ago. Mrs. Dora Flack presented an original Christmas program on Monday, Dec. 12 at 2 p.m. at the Davis County Library north branch. The title of the production was "What About Christmas." According to Rosemary Davis, director of the nutrition nutri-tion program, 80 persons are being served Meals on Wheels. These meals are usually prepared by the Davis County School District. While schools are closed during the Christmas holidays, Meals will be served by the Servus Drug for the south end of the County. This home-bound program has been in operation for more than two years. It cat"s to persons in Davis County who are more than 60 years of age and who cannot get out to get their own food. Dr. and Mrs. Wallace E. Hess entertained at dinner Saturday evening honoring her molher, Mrs. Bertha L. Muir on her 84th birthday. Other guests present were Miss Linda Hess, Mr. and Mrs. Craig Barlow and Mr. and Mrs. Michael Hess. Following dinner films were shown of the six-week trip the Hesses enjoyed last summer in England, France, Scotland, Belgium and Italy. A social for the Bountiful Utah Heights Stake will be held Dec. 22 in the Salt Lake Tabernacle. The program will be given by the Mormon Youth Chorus with Tabernacle Taber-nacle Choir Christmas program at 8 p.m. Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Lay-ton Lay-ton entertained members of their dinner club Saturday evening, Dec. 10. |
