Show F..antaS!y , Handicapped Are Placed In Davis Jobs Twelve mentally handicapped han-dicapped adults have been placed on regular jobs during the last quarter, which ended Dec. 2, according to Davis County Development Center officials. THEY SAID these 12 persons per-sons earned $8,687 while another five workers placed by the center earned $381 on part-time jobs. They added that the 12 persons placed on full-time jobs would have required $7,400 in public assistance as-sistance for the quarter. Of the 12 full-time workers, six are employed in a new training program for medical housekeepers, sponsored by the Lakeview Hospital in Bountiful and the Davis North Medical Center in Layton. OTHERS hired through the rehabilitation program were a dishwasher, grocery bagger, used car lot attendant, atten-dant, greenhouse worker and aluminum manufacturing laborers. Individual earnings for the quarter ranged from $140 to $1,260, officials explained. THE Development Center is a rehabilitation workshop for training mentally handicapped han-dicapped adults.
