Show Christmas Party For Library Workers Although most of the time librarians ask people to only whisper in libraries, last Friday night they broke all the rules and the Davis County Library staff and library board members held a Christmas party in the Farmington Far-mington library headquarters building. ACCORDING to Sarah Beth Galloway, who heads the library publication committee, commit-tee, the 37 people, including the staff and their partners, met with the library board for a get-acquainted party that included a turkey dinner and a program. Dorothy Wright was in charge of the food preparation and Dena Billings was master of ceremonies. The program included a guitar solo by Brad Maurer. Library employee Lucretia Watkins sang "Silent Night" in German. She also sang a duet in English with Lynette Wilson, library board member. INEZ REX was in charge of the decorations and made physical arrangements. This is the first time the library party has been held in the library and the food prepared by members of the staff, Mrs. Galloway said. The program also included remarks by Jeanne Layton, county librarian and a Christmas story by Betty Cooke, a member of the library staff, rk BoaaaaonMMSMI |
