Show By LISA DICKSON Viewmont's FHA should be congratulated lor the outstanding out-standing job done on the Christmas Girls Dance. The decorations were really nice and most will agree it was a great dance. THIS last Tuesday we got out ol school for a wrestling assembly during fifth and sixth period with Skyline. This match was for the studentbody to get acquainted with the wrestlers and wrestling. That same afternoon we played the Bountiful Braves in hockey. We also played hockey on Thursday night, the B team against Hillcrest and the A team against Ogden. TODAY our wrestlers are participating in the Brighton Classic at Brighton High School. This afternoon at 1 p.m. we are having a pep rally to get us psyched up for our first season basketball game against Weber. It will be a home game, jv at 5:30 and varsity at 7: 30. Our varsity players for this year include Kevin Hess, John Higley, Cal Curtis, Mike Yates, Cory Hanks, Tod Jones, Gil Hodges, Scott Eden, John Skedros, Jim Miller, Kelly Downs, Brad Thacker and Doug Day. TOMORROW the Brighton Classic continues for our wrestlers and there is also a hockey game with Olympus at 5:30 p.m. and with South at 7 p.m. Good luck Vikes. The spirit of Christmas can be found in the halls and classrooms of Viewmont. Trees are popping up everywhere and decorations vary from mistletoe to nativity na-tivity scenes. Sub for Santa is being sponsored by many organizations and they should be commended for their efforts. ef-forts. NEXT week our Christmas choral concert will be held in the VHS auditorium on Tuesday, Tues-day, Dec. 20 at 7:30 p.m. Thursday our basketball team is playing the Clearfield Falcons Fal-cons at Clearfield; jv at 5:30, varsity at 7:30. Friday we are having our annual Christmas assembly at 8:10 a.m. School will be excused at 1 on Dec. 23. BE happy Vikes and just think, it's only 10 days til Christmas. |
