Show IPcdMc Hepqpirti Police department uncovers condominium burglary ring Park City Police Detective Pat Pirraglio has uncovered a condominium condo-minium theft ring in Park City which he says was selling stolen goods through a Salt Lake county thrift store. This week Pirraglio, working in conjunction with Summit County Detective Rob Berry, obtained a search warrant and entered the Suzy Q thrift store in Murray. Evidence obtained there lead to the arrest of Suzv Pusev. 4830 So. State St. Salt Lake City and Shauna Facer, 4491 W. 3500 South, West Valley City. The pair had been working as condominium maids for one of Park City's property management firms, according to Park City Police Lt. Lloyd Evans. Allegedly, stolen items from condominiums where the two worked were being sold at the thrift snop. The women were booked into the county jail in Coalville. In other actions, Park City police were kept busy following up minor traffic accidents, reports of ski theft and a number of other offenses, according to this week's police blotter. On Jan. 14, John Crandell reported the theft of about $200 in coins from video games located near the Hat Store on Main Street. A Salt Lake City man, Roger A. Carlson, 1181 Brickyard Rd., was , arrested Jan. 14 for driving on a suspended driver's license. Carlson was stopped at the intersection of Holiday Ranch Loop Road and Little Kate Road for failing to stop at a stop sign. Subsequently police found he had outstanding "failure to appear" warrants against him with the Fifth Circuit Court. He was booked into the county jail in Coalville. Also on Jan. 14, Hal Smith, acting principal of Park City High School, phoned the Park City Police Department to report two juveniles had been found in possession of marijuana. The suspects were referred to juvenile court and released to the custody of their parents. (See separate story. ) On Jan. 13, Lee Knowles of Midvale, Utah reported to police that a theft had occurred at the Empire Coalition. He said a sport coat valued at $200 and a $35 scarf were taken between 10 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. Don Welch of the Holiday Inn reported to police Jan. 13 that during the previous night three exit signs were stolen from the halls of the inn. The signs are valued at $125. An employee at the Park Avenue 7-Eleven store. William Coombs, pnoned police Jan. 11 to report that Gregory Joe Sherry, 1975 E. Melbrook, Salt Lake City had jumped on tne counter at the store and kicked everything onto the floor. He was apprehended by police who, during a routine search, found a controlled substance on Coombs person. He was booked in Coalville on charges of disorderly conduct and possession of a controlled substance. On Jan. 10, the police blotter lists a case of stolen hubcaps. Apparently the hubcaps were stolen from a Park City Police Department vehicle while it was parked at 230U Monitor Drive. The two missing hubcaps are valued at $97. Kevin McCarthy reported that three rings and $150 in cash were stolen from his Pay Day condominium condomin-ium on Jan. 9. No value was listed for the rings. . And on Jan. 9. Rex Merrill of the Salt Lake City firm of Brown and Elliot Construction reported that during the night of Jan. 8 someone made a forced entry into a trailer at 745 Sterling Dr. and made off with an estimated $1700 in tools. Additionally, the Pane City Police Department made two DUI arrests this past week. Fifth Circuit Court John T. Dockendorf, 1320 Wood-side Wood-side Ave., Park City, pleaded guilty to a DUI Jan. 1 1 in Judge Michael K. Burton's Fifth Circuit Court. He was fined a total of $555 and sentenced to a two-day community work project. Phillip M. Stubbs, 1680 Iron Horse Ave., Park City, pleaded guilty to DUI Jan. 11 in Fifth Circuit Court. He was also fined a total of $555 and sentenced to a two-day community service project. |
