Show Steers Interrupt Court, Tho aldcrmanlc court of Altoona, I Pa., whllo In session tho other day was unceremoniously Interrupted by two steers that had been fighting In the Btreot. The alderman was trying a caso of assault nnd battery. Each sldo had lawyers, and things wore lively when two steers cama through tho front door. They had been trying to horn each other In tho streot, and one, finding It wai getting the worst of tho fight, turned and made Tor tho offlco door as tho nearest place of refuge. Tho ontranco of the steers broko up the trial, the alderman, alder-man, lawyers, principals and witnesses wit-nesses leaving tho offlco by tho nearest near-est means of egress. In a moment or two tho steers wcro in possession of tho ofllco, but tho nnqulshed one kept on through tho room, going out tho back door Into tho lot In tho rear. Tho other turned and wont baclt to tho street. After the animals left tho trial was resumed. |
