NIELSEN Temple Rites Unite Schwemmer, Nielsen In a double ring wedding ceremony cere-mony which was Bolemnlzed in the Manti LDS Temple on Saturday, Satur-day, March 2, Miss Evl Schwem-i mer of Salt Lake City, became the bride of Mr. Warren W. Nielsen, Niel-sen, now a resident of Los Angeles., An-geles., Calif. Officiating in the marriage rites was A. Bent Pet- erson, president of the temple. The bride is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Christian Schwemmer of Salt Lake City and the bridegroom bride-groom is a son of Mayor and Mrs. Osmer K. Nielsen of Parowan. The newly married couple were honored at a reception on Mar. 2, hosted by the bride's parents, and held in the Cannon First Ward chapel in Salt Lake City. They were also honored at an open house Saturday. 7T?r. 9 at tne home of the c..om's parents in Parowan. For the reception the bride wore a floor length gown with a lace bodice, scalloped neck line, long pointed sleeves and lace overskirt. Her long veil fell from a pearl crown and she carried car-ried a bouquet of white carnations carna-tions and violets. The bride's attendants were Miss Kathryn Nielsen, sister of the bridegroom; Miss Cheryl Tul-lius Tul-lius and Miss Cheryl Tullius. They wore light lavender brocade bro-cade dresses with bell shaped j skirts, long lavender gloves and ! Sitir. laVOTn'i-f Tiifir uuu- quets were of feathered carna-I carna-I tions and violets. ' Standing as best man for the bridegroom was his brother, Allen Al-len K. Nielsen. Ushers were brothers bro-thers of the bride, Helmut C. and Ozzie Schwemmer. For the reception, the mother of the bride chose a beige brocade bro-cade dress with over-Jacket and the mother of the bridegroom wore a peach knit dress with brown accessories and both wore a lavender orchid. For her going-away costume the bride chose an oyster white young couple woreOspent dress with gold accessories. For their honey moon they spent the week between Mar. 2 and 9 in Colorado. The bride is a graduate of the LDS Business College, and has been serving as secretary-reception 1st for a doctor prior to her marriage. The bridegroom Is a graduate of the University of Utah with a B. S. degree In mechanical engineering, and Is now employed in that capacity for Southern California Edison Company, and they will make a home In Los Angeles. Prior to her marriage Miss Schwemmer was honored at a shower given by the Misses Sandra San-dra and Cheryl Tullius. Gayle Quails and Mrs. Wayne Hovey. |
