Show Maude B. Parcells Dies in California Mrs. Maude B. Parcells, 89, a former resident of Parowan, died at an hospital in Encinit-is, Encinit-is, Calif., on June 1, following an operation. Mrs. Parcells, with her husband, hus-band, Homer C. Parcells, came to Parowan in 1918 to make their home and Mr. Parcells entered the law and abstracting abstract-ing business.. They resided in this community until a few years ago when Mrs. Parcells, her son, Homer, and daughter Georgia Stowe sold their business bus-iness and moved to California. Mr. Parcells died a number of years ago and was buried in Salt Lake City and Mrs. Parcells was taken there for burial also. She was a charter member of the Parowan Literary Club, and prior to her moving from here, was accorded an honorary honor-ary membership in that club. She was also an active member mem-ber of the American Legion Auxiliary while here. She is survived by one son and two daughters, Homer C. Parcells and Georgia Stowe, Encenitis and Mrs. Lucile P. Morris of Henderson, Nev., a sister, Mrs. Georgia B. Mitchell of Parowan; four grandchildren grandchil-dren and several great-grandchildren. |
