Show Active Churchworker Dies inParowan Mrs. Rose Lucetta Orton Rasmussen, Ras-mussen, 72, died at her home in Parowan Monday following a lingering illness. She had been in very poor health for a number of years. Mrs. Rasmussen was born in Parowan on November 27, 1876, a daughter of Sidney and Selena B. Orton, and on March 17, 1897, married Enoch Rasmussen of Parowan. They celebrated their 51st wedding anniversary last March. Mrs. Rasmussen was always active In L D S church affairs as well as civic activities in Parowan. Paro-wan. She served In the M I A, Primary and Relief Society organizations or-ganizations and was a registration registra-tion agent in Parowan for 25 years. She was also a member of the old Parowan Dramatic Asso-elation Asso-elation In the early days. She Is survived by her husband, hus-band, and the following sons and daughters, Mrs. Violet R. Clark, Aaron and Howard Rasmussen, and Mrs. Georglana Macfarlane, all of Parowan; Mrs. Florence Clark, Woodland, California, Ada Rasmussen, Salt Lake City; J. Merrill, Rasmussen. Boise. Idaho, and Orton Rasmussen, Reno, Nevada. Ne-vada. Also surviving are nineteen nine-teen grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren. Funeral services are being conducted con-ducted for her in Parowan this afternoon. |
