Navy Department The movement to establish America's Ameri-ca's first 'dirigible air lino for tho purpose of carrying mall, freight, passengers pas-sengers and express has been given further impetus In the announcement by an Akron tiro company that It has purchased from the United States government a 320,000 cubic-0p6i cubic-0p6i airship of the Chalals-Maudon type, built In France for the United States navy. The huge ship will arrive In America Ameri-ca In a few weeks to bo assembled at AVIngfoot lako aviation station near Akron and will immediately bo put In service to develop the possibilities possi-bilities of airship transportation. Dally trips arc planned on a 150-rpllo 150-rpllo air lino route bctWccn Akron and Detroit in the fall. The ship has a capacity of thirty passengers on short trips. No passengers v: be carried during the first month of operation, op-eration, it being the intention to develop de-velop the mail, express and freight and of dirigibles transportation for the purpose of determining schedules, sched-ules, runs and costa.
