S Opening day shooting will H end at 8:01 p.m., and if these H shooting times sound a little D late, it's because this year the H shooting times are Mountain 1 Daylight Saving Time or one hour later than last year's schedule. An estimated 20,000 dove hunters will be going afield after af-ter this spring and popular game bird. The 1966 game bird harvest report issued by the Fish and Game Division showed show-ed 20,594 dove hunters afield last year and a harvest of 212,-696 212,-696 birds. Greatest proportion of the total harvest came from Utah County followed by Salt Lake County, Box Elder County, Coun-ty, Tooele County and Juab County. The 1967 hunt fill run from September 1 through September 15 in Box Elder, Cache, Davis, Morgan, Rich, Salt Lake, Summit, Sum-mit, Utah, Weber and part of Tooele .counties. All other counties in the state will be open from Sept. 1 through September 30. Daily bag limit will be 12 with a possession limit of 24 after two days of shooting. Shooting hours each day will be one half hour before sunrise to sunset each day. These times are listed in the mourning dove proclamation which is available from and Fish and Game office of-fice or from license agents. All shotguns capable of holding hold-ing more than three shells must be plugged to reduce the capacity capa-city of the magazine and chamber cham-ber combined to not more than three shells. All persons 12 to 15 years of age are permitted to take mourning doves in season, but must have a small game hunting hunt-ing license and be accompanied while hunting with a person over the age of majority. The mourning dove proclamation procla-mation lists all other rules and regulations. |
