Show Coyocil accepts bid, makes-appointments makes-appointments At the meeting of the city council on Monday evening, bids were opened fo ra two-ton two-ton truck to be used in the Streets Department. The bids were as follows: Gridley Chevrolet Chev-rolet Co. $5,394.98; Smith Ford Sales, $5,964.81, Naylor Auto $5,289.00 and Anderson's Auto $5,241.16. CI Child made a motion with a second by CI. Peay that the city accept the low bid of Anderson's for $5,-241.16 $5,-241.16 for an International truck. Upon the recommendations of Police Chief Ashley Graham, Melvina Bowles and Leora Ostler Ost-ler were approved by the Council Coun-cil to serve as School Crossing guards. Mrs. Bowles at West-side West-side schools 400 South entrance and Mrs. Ostler at Brookside School. The Council also approved Terry Curtis and Irwin J. Curtis Cur-tis as dispatchers in the Police Po-lice department to replace Marvin E. Roundy and Dan Barton who have resigned. |
