They re made in short order of Danish flavor margarine and are rich with the aroma of mince meat. Just blend ingredients, chill, roll, then shane into clover leaves. Clover-leaf Cookies (Makes S dozen two-inch diameter cookies) 2-12 cups sifted all-purpose 1-12 cups sifted confectioners' flour sugar 1 teaspoon baking soda 1 (9-oz.) pkg. None Such 1 teaspoon cream of tartar condensed mince meat II cup (2 sticks) Danish- 1 egg flavor margarine 1 teaspoon vanilla extract Sift together flour, baking soda and cream of tartar. In a large size bowl, cream margarine and sugar together until light. Break mince meat into small pieces. Place mince meat and egg m electric elec-tric blendor; blend until mince meat is pulpy. Stir into creamed mixture. Add vanilla and sifted dry ingredients; blend well. Ee-frieerate Ee-frieerate dough about 30 minutes, then roll into 34-mcn diameter diam-eter balls. Arrange 3 balls with sides touching clover-leaf fashion on a well-greased baking sheet. Bake in a moderate (375F.) Xvpn about 10 minutes, or until lightly browned. Cool slightly Se removingookies from baking sheet. For GREEN ICING blend 1 cup sifted confectioners' sugar, 12 teaspoon vanilla extract ex-tract and 1 tablespoon water until of spreading consistency. Tint with a few drops green food coloring. If desired, decorate with slivers of red cherries. |
