Show d3reultied . . . Visiting at the home of Mrs. Elizabeth Miner the past few days have been a nephew and wife, Mr .and Mrs. Alan Win-field Win-field and family of Tillinook, Oregon. Mr. Winfield is a son of Mrs. Miner's sister. Mr. and Mrs. Berton Grocs-beck Grocs-beck have enjoyed visits during the summer from their daughter daugh-ter and son-in-law, Dr. and Mrs. Glen Garrett (Dorothy) and four children of LaCanada, Calif. Dr. Garrett brought his family here and returned to his work coming back for them the past week. They also visited his folks in Kaysville. Also visiting at the Groesbeck home have been their son Russell and wife and four sons of Pasadena, Pasa-dena, Calif. They also toured Yellowstone and Glacier Parks and the Northwest. One of the sons, Alan, attended the Explorer Ex-plorer Scout meet at BYU. Springville PTA officers were well represented at the recent all day school of instruction held in Orem. Among those attending at-tending were Thelda Alleman, president of the new Middle School; Betty Diamond, president presi-dent of Westside; Clarice Haws, council president and Gladys Goates and Lucille Ol-lerton Ol-lerton also from the council. All enjoyed lunch at the school at noon. Mr .and Mrs. Frank Houser and three children, John, Bill and David of LaVerne, Calif., visited in Springville last week guests of Mr. and Mrs. Neil Bonham. They are planning to make their home here next summer. Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Brown (Linda Whitney) of Sacramento, Sacramen-to, Calif., visited here with the Ray Whitneys and also with his folks, Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Brown at Manti recently. They also enjoyed a trip to Flaming Gorge. Lorna and Janet Whitney Whit-ney and Beverly Brown of Manti Man-ti went back with them stopping stop-ping at Reno and other points of interest and returned by jet. Mr. and Mrs. Roy Blanchard and daughter Mary Lou Linton Lin-ton and two children of Long Beach, Calif., and a son, Roy J. Blanchard and wife and three children of Placentia, Calif., have been visiting at the J. J. Miller home and with Mrs. John Blanchard and other relatives and friends in Springville. Spring-ville. They came especially to attend the reunion of the J. J. Miller family at Kellys Grove. Representing the Springville Jaycee club at the district meeting Tuesday evening at Lehi, were Bob Snow, Jim Jef-fers, Jef-fers, Jim Wiley, Carvel Brin-kerhoff, Brin-kerhoff, Bob Holley, and Mel Weight. They enjoyed talks by Ray Beasley, state parliamentarian parliamen-tarian who also showed a film and by Bill Barton, national director di-rector on government affairs. Mrs. Hattie Williams is enjoying en-joying a visit from her son Fred Blackett and wife of Torrance, Tor-rance, Calif., this week. They are also visiting Fred's sister and brother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Alton W. Packard. Mr. and Mrs. William Jones enjoyed a visit from friends, Mr .and Mrs. Don Clark and children of Phoenix, Ariz., Monday Mon-day and Monday night of this week. |
