Show Services held here for Eliza P. Taylor Graveside services were conducted con-ducted at the Evergreen cemetery ceme-tery Tuesday, for Eliza Packard Pack-ard Taylor, 70 of. Ensenada, Calif., a former resident of Springville, who died Friday, August 18, 1967, of an apparent heart attack. She was born Nov. 16, 1896 in Springville, a daughter of Milan O., and Julia Crandall Packard. She married Rodney Tayor, Feb. 28, 1933. She grew up in Springville and was a graduate of Springville Spring-ville High School. She continued contin-ued her education at the University Uni-versity of Utah and graduated with a degree in English and drama and a minor in Physical Phy-sical Education. She was one of three special students to win a special course with Maud May Babcock in her junior and senior sen-ior year. For two seasons she took a lead part in the University Univer-sity Players and gave dramas over Utah and in Salt Lake City. As a young woman she spent a two year mission for the LDS church in New York and Massachusetts. She taught English, Drama, and Physical Education at the Springville high school, at the Davis County high school and continued her profession in Southern California. She was active in her church and held various positions in all of the auxiliaries. Surviving are her husband and two daughters, Miss Ann Taylor and Miss Mary Taylor, all of Ensenada, Calif.; five brothers, S. D. Packard, American Ameri-can Fork; D. R. Packard, Salt Lake City; R. E. Packard, Provo; Pro-vo; Alton Packard and Faye C. Packard, both of Springville. |
