Show Jaycees Load Up City's Debris, Praise Cooperation morce annual spring clean-up ended Sundry night with a definite def-inite note of success, the program pro-gram having resulted in the removal re-moval from the city of many, many truck loads of debris collected col-lected during the winter months. The Jaycees had campaigned during the week to encourage property owners to clean-up their premises, and promised to remove re-move any rubbish or debris that was piled at the curb by the week end. Over the week end a crew of Jaycees with trucks furnished fur-nished by the city and local owners, covered the town and hauled off all rubbish collections collec-tions to the garbage dump. The large number of truck lor.ds hauled off Indicates that a thorough thor-ough clean-up Job was done on the premises of many residents. R. L. Gardner, chairman of the clean up committee, express- ed his appreciation for the sup-' port given the program, and thanked particularly the city corporation, Lewis Webster of the Webster Coal Co. and the Progressive Builders Supply Co., for the use of their trucks. Iron County and Clarence E. Miller also volunteered the use of trucks but they were not needed. |
