Show PARAGON AH NEWS NOTES By Nora Lund A bazaar, which is being arranged ar-ranged by the Ward Primary Association, As-sociation, will be held Tuesday, May 7, at the church house. Flowers and wreaths for Memorial Memor-ial Day will be a special feature on sale as well as many other useful articles. President Golda Topham also announces that Primary conference confer-ence will be held Sunday evening, eve-ning, May 5. Members of the Relief Society Singing Mothers of our ward are attending practices In Parowan often, preparatory to furnishing the music for stake conference I on April 28. Miss Emma Little of Cedar J City was an overnight guest on' Wednesday of her cousin, Miss! Ada Robinson. I Heber Lund's accordion music added delight to the outstanding numbers at the Variety Show in Cedar City Saturday evening. Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Robinson' and family of Cedar City visited briefly Sunday with his parents,' Mr. and Mrs. Calvin Robinson, on their way to Beaver to visit .Mrs. Robinson's people, the Arn-1 old Parkinsons. Mr. Parkinson is; in very poor health. ' We are pleased to note that , Lyle Topham, son of Mr. audi Mrs. Herbert Topham. a Parowan Paro-wan Hlh School senior, has ben selected as a delegate to the Model United Nations assembly to be held in the state capital April 27. The Revere Robinson home was the scene of a Sunday School party Wednesday evening. The occasion was to honor Miss Hel-en Hel-en Stones, who has ably presided presid-ed over the kindergarten of that organization for the past five years! Also honored were Miss Ivy Robinson and Mrs. Ruby Bauer, teachers in that same de-partment de-partment who have been released releas-ed recently. Mr. and Mrs. Wm. S. Board-man Board-man and sons were pleased to .have Mr. and Mrs Ted Cooper and family and Mrs Viola Cox. 'all of Colusa. Calif., with them for a few days over the week end. Mrs. Annie R. Williamson received re-ceived word of the death of her infant great-grandson lat week in Wyoming. Graveside services were held in Provo. The baby's parents. Mr. and Mrs. Mark Sun-' day, recently returned from overseas. over-seas. Mrs. LaRetta W. Abbott, formerly of Paragonah, is the grandmother. Mr. and Mrs. Ivan Griffin and son Paul of San Carlos, Calif, snent Sunday In town renewing old acquaintances with friends. Mr. Griffin was the principal of our school 18 years aeo. Mr. and Mrs. Keith Watters and children of Springville were here over the week end with Mtn. Wattprs parents, Mr. and Mrs. Willard"L-wid Mr. and Mrs SherT3S-JMack of Salt Lake City and Mrs ftnrry-Rice ftnrry-Rice of Price were here during the week to see their aged father, fath-er, J. J. Jones, and to attend the funeral of a brother-in-law, A. M. Lamoreaux. j Mr and Mrs. Clark L. Orton and family have returned from Phoenix, Ariz., where they have made a home for the past two years. On Sunday a gathering at the Roy McBride home included includ-ed the Ortons, the Wayne Mos-dells Mos-dells and Mr. and Mrs. Dallen Williams of Cedar City, the Law-rence Law-rence Dailey and Ted Barton families from here. Mr. and Mrs. Wilson Lund, their daughter Gayle and Mrs. Elizabeth Maxwell, attended the funeral of Mrs. John Anderson in Glendale on Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. Rodney Bentley and three sons of St. George, and Larry Frandsen of Henderson, Nev., were guests at the Howard Jones home. The Paragonah Junior students in the limelight at the Prom In Parowan Friday evening were: Duane Lamoreaux, Ardell Talbot, Tal-bot, Kenneth Topham, Heber Lund, Dean Robinson, Reed and Tess Thornton and Vesta Rae Barton, A large crowd of townspeople towns-people also attended the dance. Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Farns-worth Farns-worth and family of Beaver were at the Lamoreaux funeral Tuesday Tues-day and also visited with the Lewis Davenports. Visitors at the Wilson Lund home during the week included Mr. and Mrs. A. G. George and Mrs. Josephine Maxwell of Salt Lake City, Mr and Mrs. Jim Maxwell Max-well of Glendale and Mrs. John Maxwell of Toquerville. Mr. and Mrs Terry Lund were hosts to friends and relatives during the week, Mr and Mrs. William Affleck and son Paul of Ely, Nev. were here Tuesday.
