Show Karen Froyd Veds in Salt Lake Temple Ceremony Miss Karen Froyd became ihei bride of Raymond B. Parkinson on Friday. April 12 in morning rites at the Salt Lake LDS temple. President Joseph Fielding Field-ing Smith of the council of the Twelve Apostles officiated. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clen S. Froyd. Ce-dar Ce-dar City. The bridegroom Is the son of Mr. and Mrs Raymond C. Parkinson. Salt Lake City. Following the ceremony the bridal party assembled at the Doll House for a wedding breakfast, break-fast, hosted by the bridegroom's parents. Saturday evening the couple were honored at a reception at the L D S Institute in Cedar City. For the occasion the bride chose a floor-length gown of I sheer nylon. The molded bodice I was styled with short sleeves! I and a scoop neckline framed with lace scallops. Sequin-trimmed lace appliques, releasing floating panels, enhanced the full skirt, which swept into a chapel train. An elbow-length veil was released from a tiara of seed pearls and sequins and her bouquet was all white. Attending the bride as maid of honor was a sister, Miss Margaret Mar-garet Froyd. Mrs. George Howell. Miss Janeen Beasley and Miss JoAnn Beasley wore gowns of lavender la-vender embroidered crystalette sheaths and carried nosegays of white chrysanthemums. Performing the duties of best ' man was Max Parkin. Ushers were Allen Froyd, brjother of the bride; George Howell and Charles Ashman. Mrs. Parkinson has been residing re-siding in Salt Lake City and the ne'vlyweds a:e now at home in the capital city following a briel honeymoon. Parents of the bridegroom will honor the newlyweds at an open house In Salt Lake City on April 27 at the Lion House. |
