Show Junior High Track Team Rates Second Place Participating for the first time in a number of years the Cedai City Junior High School track team placed second In the Junior Jun-ior division of the annual Dixie Invitational meet In St George Saturday. Ronald Condie was top point Setter for Cedar City, capturing first place in two events. Con-die Con-die captured top spot in the 880 yard run with a time of 2:18.4 minutes and topped all contenders in the 440 yard dash with a time of 59 second. Other first place winners for the Junior high included Danny Lindsay In the low hurdles with a time of 21.9 seconds, and Mike Williams who put the shot a distance dis-tance of 45 feet 10 inches. Larry Anderson, second; Soger Halterman, fourth and Douglas Haycock, fifth. 220 yard dash, Haycock fourth, - and Mike Jones, fifth. 440 yard dash, R. The team captured a total of four firsts, five seconds, no thirds, four fourths and three fifths. Woodward Junior High of St. George won the meet with a to-tal to-tal of 90.1 points followed by Cedar Ce-dar with 67.5, Hurricane with 17.8, Virgin Valley 18, Beaver 11. Panguitch 5.8, Kanab 2 and Maryvalo 2. |
