Show OGDEN VOTERS BEGIN TO REALIZE ELECTION : ' - DAY IS DRAWING NEAR ii , X With tho primary election but three days away, politics in Ogden have begun be-gun to assume a reality and predictions predic-tions and speculations and hore and thero a bet as to the outcome, are to be heard as groups gather about tho streets. But, with no chanco offered, the different aspirants to campaign In the good, old-fashioned way, very little lit-tle definite information can be obtained obtain-ed as to how each candidate stands. With no house-to-houso canvassing permitted, per-mitted, little can be sai'd, ono way or the other, as to how one's favorite lines up. I The election judges havo been chosen, chos-en, all but in ono or two Instances. Three judges are required in all but the Sixteenth and Seventeenth districts, dis-tricts, where it requires double that number to count the votes. After the primaries next Tuesday, there will be but two candidates in the race for each of the offices to bo filled. For that reason, tho primary election offers the only opportunity for a person to voto for the candidate he really prefers, unless that candidate stands as one of the two highest after the primaries. For that reason, tho primary oiecnon rcany ueiermines the standing of a candidate. One of the two elected here will have a larger number of voles and it has been conceded, con-ceded, however, that that man will win, unless tho opposing faction marshals its forces in an unforeseen way. But, with the corrupt practices act in force, little of this sort of campaigning can bo done. It is illegal to campaign as the term is ordinarily understood. There will be no torchlight processions. proces-sions. The selection of men to tho city's affairs is left entirely to the judgment of tho voter, with no outside out-side influences to decide how he shall vote.
