Show I Afternoon Tea. at Maids' and Matrons' ; Club a Charming Autumn Affair- The club rooms of the Maids' and Matrons' were never more artistic than on Monday afternoon last when Mrs. Richard Douglas Robins, Mrs. Plumer B. Haslet, and Mrsi Peter Allen Al-len Herdti entertained at a charmingly charming-ly appointed tea. From 3 until 6 o'clock the rooms were thronged by more than two hundred guests who were bidden. The color scheme of decoration was yellow nasturtiums from the palest to the darkest hue were massed in windows and about the reception room and in tho tea room were gorgeous chrysanthemums in white and yellow while on the table was a basket, artistically filled with three Japanese ferns. Large bows of tulle ribbon surrounded the centerpiece, center-piece, and hero it was the following ladies la-dies poured: Mrs. Edward Bichsel, Mrs. T. H. Davis, Mrs. E. O. Wattls, Mrs. R. B. Porter, Mrs. I. N. Fulton and Mrs. John Edward Carver. Mrs. E. D. Herman, Mrs. Robins and Mrs. Herdti's sister came up for the occa,-sion, occa,-sion, and Mrs. James H. Halverson of Brigham City was a guest The Lillian Thatcher orchestra played during the nfternoon many of the choice classic selections from the operas. |
