Show CANNOT CONVEY VOTERS TO POLLS A friend inquires, "Can I take my own .automobile and, without compensation compen-sation or promise of pay, convey to the polls next Tuesday, voters who are for you?" This Is what we read to the gentleman: gentle-man: "Sec. 30. No person, corporation, committee or organization shall convey con-vey or furnish any vehicle for conveying, convey-ing, or bear any portion of any expense ex-pense of conveying any voter to or from the polls or registration places, or any part of the way." Our friend was advised not to use his automobile, except to take himself and family to the polls. This part of the new law is very essential es-sential and should be observed to tho letter. Any infraction of this law should bo reported to The Standard or to tho authorities. |
