Show f CORK AFTER-DINtfER DAXCEB. IH A PRETTY little after-dinner trick JH is to mako little dancing figures of bits of cork and tiny pieces of tooth- ! jH Tho base for them is a small hemi- sphere that can be made in a few mo- IH mcnts by pinching and rolling a piece IH of tinfoil into tne required snape. ah that is necessary is to see that it is , IH perfectly smooth and perfectly true in j shape. j 'H . Then crumble pits of cork roughly jH into the shape of men or women or an- imals, pinning the parts thoroughly with slivers from toothpicks. With, a ; W little ingenuity exceedingly ludicrous j 1 jH figures can be made. They may be col- ored with a black end of a burned match. Pin them on the flat side of tho tin- j jH foil hemisphere and set it on the ta-blc. ta-blc. The little figures are so light that the tinfoil will keep them upright all the time. They may be laid flat or , M may be shaken in all directions; yet they will always bob right up again j jH and the resulting motions often are very funny. I IH a j mm |
