The Mutual Improvement association associa-tion of the Bear River stake will hold their convention at the stake tabernacle taber-nacle at Garland Sunday, October 21, when all officers are expected to be present. The Bear River stake religion classes will hold their conferences at the Garland tabernacle, Sunday, October Oc-tober 21. Miss Zella Hansley and Ray Welling Well-ing were united in marriage in Salt Lake temple Wednesday. A reception was given in their honor at the home of Mr. and Mrs. F. D. Welling Friday. Fri-day. Miss Velay Hunsaker and Arthur Boweh were united in marriage last Monday. The wedding was performed in Salt Lake. Miss Irene Phelps will leave Garland this week for Ely, Nev. Miss Gertrude Jensen was honor guest at a shower given Thursday afternoon. aft-ernoon. She will leave soon for a mission in the western states. Mrs. A. Christensen announces the engagement of her daughter, Ellen, to Harry Pinkoff, the wedding to take place October 22. Mrs. J. Oakley announces the engagement en-gagement of her daughter, Delia La-Rue, La-Rue, to Otto Shoreman. The wedding will take place in San Francisco. Mrs. O. R. Blair announces the engagement en-gagement of her daughter, Celia, to Cannard Atkins. They will leave soon after the wedding for Rexburg Idaho. Mrs. R. S. Ellis and children returned return-ed home Wednesday from a visit to Portage. Mrs. Clarence E. Smith returned Tuesday fr.om a visit to West Jordan where she wunt to attend the wedding recention siven in honor of her broth er, Kenneth Pearson, who was married mar-ried to Miss Louise Nelson. Mrs. E. Christensen of Salt Lake is a guest of her. sister, Mrs. Epp Coombs. Mrs. A. S. Huish returned home Tuesday after an extended trip to Chicago Chi-cago where she visited her son, Royal Huish.
