HMYOOTOFSn CULLS FOR HEALTH CERTIFICATE The following letter has been sent to the principals of the different schools of the city by Reinhold Kanz-ler, Kanz-ler, city physician: "You will please note the following and govern yourself accordingly, In caring for any sickness that may appear ap-pear in your school. "1. A child that is absent from school one day, cannot return to school without a certificate either from the school nurse or from a duly licensed physician, stating that the child Is free from infection and it would bo safe to have her return. "2. It will bo the duty of every teacher to report each evening, the names of tho children absent that day and It will bo the duty of the principal princi-pal to telephone Miss Williams, the nurse, the names and addresses of the children absent, and Miss Williams will call on each child and examine them, and should she find anything that looks suspicious, she will advise calling the family doctor for a diagnosis, diag-nosis, if the family, however, object, she will report the case to the health department and the city physician will call that day and make the diagnosis only. "3.- I have hoticed in my inspection of tho schools, that at recess time children aro permitted to take their usual walks without their wraps. This must be stopped. It is tho duty of every ev-ery teacher to see that the children have on their wraps at this time. To get chilled as they do, lowers their resistance re-sistance and they become fit subjects for the infectious diseases that are now prevailing. "4. Suggost to every teacher in this city to make it her duty to see that her room is properly ventilated. Open uiu winuows ai least live minutes every ev-ery hour of the day.
