Show Martha Jane Urie honored on 90th birthday Thirty-five family members spent Monday, July 12, at the Woodbury Cabin at Brian Head, celebrating the 90th birthday of Martha Jane Urie. She was born July 12, 1886 to Daniel and Margaret Mackelprang Perkins in Cedar City. She married D. Claude Urie on June 2, 1909 in the St. George Temple. He died August 2, 1961. They had six children: Leon, Dee, Howard-all deceased. Mrs. Chester (Utah) Barrick, Mrs. Phyllis DeRose and Mrs. Rulan (Lois) Woodbury. She also has eight grandchildren, and thirteen great-gra ndchildren. Mrs. Urie has lived all of her life in Cedar City attending the public schools and BNS. Keeping active through winning win-ning blue ribbons at the Iron County Fair for her beautiful crocheting, needlepoint, embroidery em-broidery and afghans has been her life's challenge. She has helped countless people through giving scholarships, helping missionaries and in general most anyone less fortunate than her. X ; HAPPY 90TH BIRTHDAY ll f GRANDMA URIE if j 11 . & is? Out of town guests who joined with her to celebrate were: Phyllis DeRose, daughter Debi Moore and son Brant from Salt Lake. Also her sister-in-law Zelpha U. Crawford from Ogden. |
