Show PARAG0NAH NEWS By Hilma Lamoreaux Mr. Raymond Brey of Salt Lake City spent the holiday weekend here with his brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Antone Robinson and their children. Mr. and Mrs. K. Doyle Robinson spent the holiday in Cedar City with their daughters and their families. They traveled there on Sunday and visited overnight at the .David Skougaard home. Mr, and Mrs. Robinson have received word of the birth of another grandchild.' An eight pound, seven oz. girl was born on July 6th to Burgess and Geri Robinson of Salt Lake City. This makes four girls for the young couple. Mrs. Irene Robinson traveled to Orem during the week with her grandson Steven Edwards and his family who were returning to their home in Bountiful after the week-end in Cedar City. Mrs. Roene Lund was to Glendale Friday and Saturday to attend the bicentennial celebration held there. She was accompanied by her sister, Mrs. Vera Gibson of Cedar City. Mr. and Mrs. Ardell Talbot and their children have moved to Paragonah and arrived from Jerome, Idaho on Sun. They are living in the William T. Davenport home. Mrs. Miriam Anderson entered the Valley View Medical Center on Wed. in preparation for surgery which was scheduled for the following day. - Mrs. Walter Horton and son Terry have gone to Colorado to visit relatives. Mr. and Mrs. Joe Lamoreaux left for Orem on Thurs. to spend a few days with their son Robin and his family. Mrs. Idella Robinson had company on Wed. Her brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Mickel, of Spring City, their daughter, Mrs. Dixie Sperry of Salt Lake City and her daughter Linda and a friend stopped on their way south. Young Miss Sperry is a member of a singing and dancing group that were to perform for a Senior Citizens group in St. George Wed. evening and were ' then going on to Calif, for an appearance at Disneyland. Paragonah's Independence Day celebration was somewhat unusual as far as the meeting was concerned as the majority of the time was occupied with viewing colored slides of nature studies, special events in Paragonah's past history, family groups etc. all set to appropriate organ music. Mr. and Mrs. Clark Lamoreaux had arranged the program. A good crowd was in attendance at-tendance at the meeting and the sports and activities that followed. Mr. and Mrs. Chuck Lefler of Agoura, Calif, were here from July 3rd to July 5th to visit with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Lefler. During their stay here the two couples toured to Brianhead, Mammoth and the Hatch and Panguitch areas. |
