Show Scholarship Fund established by Bullochs Scholarships will be awarded to two Southern Utah State College studnets this year through an endowment en-dowment fund established by long-time SUSC supporters sup-porters Warren and June Bulloch. The Cedar City couple established the scholarship fund several years ago for students majoring in business and prepharmacy. The first scholarships will be awarded this year-one in each discipline-with two additional scholarships awarded each year from now on. "The perpetual fund pays for two full-tuition scholarships each year," Phil Robison, SUSC director of development, said. Award recipients this year will receive $420 each. "We are very appreciative of this scholarship endowment, en-dowment, and for the commitment the couple has made towards furthering the educational process at SUSC," Robison said. "Warren and June Bulloch are staunch supporters of the college," SUSC President Orville D. Car-nahan Car-nahan adds. "They have worked for the good of the college through service for Producers Fred C. Mr. Buloch was awarded an honorary doctorate degree from SUSC in 1971 . In 1977 he was awarded a Distinguished . Service Award by the SUSC Alumni Association. The SUSC alumnus has served as an Iron County Commissioner, as a member of the Utah Coordinating Council of Higher Education, as chairman of the SUSC Board of Trustees, and most recently, as a member of the Utah State Board of Regents, a position he held from 19G9 to 1977. |
