Show A 'f' Couple called on Mission PAROWAN - Howard and Margaret Adams of Parowan Third Ward will be honored in sacrament meeting Sunday, Feb. 17 at 2 p.m., prior to their departure depar-ture for an LDS Mission. They have been called to the Texas, Houston Mission, and will enter the mission home on February 28. Both Mr. and Mrs. Adams are Parowan natives and resided there most of their lives, where Mr. Adams was engaged in farming and ranching. They then moved to Arizona, where Howard was administrator of a nursing home in Phoenix. They recently retired and moved back to their home.in Parowan. Mrs. Adams has been active in the auxiliaries of the church, serving in the presidencies of the ward Primary and Relief Society. She was a Stake Relief Society Secretary in Arizona, and was just released from the Parowan Stake Relief Society Board. Mr. Adams was Bishop of the Parowan Third Ward for several years, and has been active in Priesthood work. He was recently released as ward High Priest group leader. He served a stake mission in Arizona. The Adamses are parents of five sons: Bill (Tobe) who is an attorney in Salt Lake City; Way land, who has a home in Dallas and is a commercial airline pilot; Kevin, an accountant for Greyhound Corp. in Phoenix; Rickie, now living in Colorado Springs and employed by Honeywell Corporation; and Jerry, who is working in Park City at present. They have seven grandchildren. Friends and relatives are invited to attend their farewell Sunday at 2 p. m. |
