"The book tells how to take advantage of tax laws as much as possible. The first third is about saving taxes and the last two-thirds is about investment," said the author. Rich has printed the book himself through his corporation, the American Tax Research Institute. The book is being sold through direct mail sales and through some locations in Cedar City lor $12.95 retail. Rich said that he consulted lawyers and Cert ified Public Accountants in writing the book and that he has recently begun to consult on investments for the stiff fee of $150 per hour. "I want people to read the book and use it.. .Utah people are quite investment' oriented, but assuming that they have some successes they will start compounding their tax liabilities," said Rich. He continued, "I am glad to have the book out because it makes it possible for people to build on a tax-free basis. It could be possible for people to retire when they are 40 or 50 years old. I could have retired when I was 30 years old." Rich's book is receiving a good response and the author hopes to expand his endeavors into a monthly newsletter. Unlike Howard Ruff, Rich says, "The world is not coming to an end, I'm going to have fern while I'm here." |
